Self Drive Party Boat vs Skippered Budget Cruise Boat
Self Drive Cruise
Self Drive vessels are the perfect budget saver option for a day cruising the Broadwater with friends or family.
We have four self drive vessels in our fleet for ten to 12 people. The Deluxe, Luxury and Ultimate are fully fitted out BBQ boats with the highest standard of fittings. Stainless steel BBQ, enclosed "family friendly" toilet, sound system, GPS positional map and more. All have insulated roof to keep you cool and drop-down cafe blinds to protect you from any wind. They are licensed in Queensland and meet the legal requirements for self drive hire by people without a boat license. While they are all designed for more passengers, we operate Deluxe as a 10 person hire, and Luxury and Ultimate as 12 person hires. This means maximum comfort for your group.
Slip n Slide is our newest self drive party boat for up to 12 people. It is equipped with stainless steel BBQ, sound system, GPS positional map and cafe blinds, but it is also Australia's first self drive budget cruise boat with a slippery dip. You can sit back and have a cool drink or hit the water from the slide. This vessel is a great choice for families. As the biggest of our self drive vessels, we do insist that at least one licensed driver is on board.
Skippered Cruise
If a skippered cruise is more your style or you have a bigger group, we have two vessels to suit your needs. Funboat (20 people) and Summer Salt (40 people).
The Fun Boat boasts a length of 10.6 metres and a width of 3.5 metres. She carries 20 people in comfort and motors along with a combined 160hp. To add to the fun of the cruise, Funboat is equipped with a trampoline to launch yourself into the water and a stand up paddle board if you want to try to stay dry for just a little longer.
Summer Salt is our biggest vessel with room for 40 people in comfort. She is licensed to serve alcohol and is perfect when you want a fully catered budget cruising experience.
Both are fully equipped and maintained vessels that can best be described as "Luxury Budget Cruises". Budget, because you can choose the level of catering from BYO everything to fully catered and licensed. These are both exceptional options for corporate events or hens/bucks parties while still being affordable for big family events.
Our skippered cruises are available during the day or in the evenings so you can have a fun day out, or a relaxing cruise watching the lights of the Gold Coast reflecting off the water.
